Friedrich-Wilhelm Graf von Pfeil
Friedrich-Wilhelm Graf von Pfeil has been an independent advisor since 2016 and has been part of the advisory circle of COURAGE for several years.
He combines strategic advisory expertise with extensive international experience across investment banking, executive search and leadership advisory. After more than two decades in international investment banking at J.P. Morgan and Paribas (now BNP Paribas) in Germany, the UK and the United States, he transitioned into executive search consulting. As Senior Client Partner at Korn/Ferry and previously Senior Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, he advised supervisory boards, executive boards and leadership teams on executive appointments, succession and governance matters.
His deep understanding of leadership dynamics, markets and board-level decision-making makes him a valued sparring partner for strategic communication, positioning and leadership topics.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Göttingen and began his career at Deutsche Bank in Düsseldorf.
Andreas L. J. Povel
Andreas L. J. Povel has been serving as a corporate advisor since 2017 and holds various supervisory and advisory board mandates. Within the scope of his mandates, he acts as curator of the DSW Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz e.V. and regularly speaks on transatlantic relations and international economic affairs.
Previously, he served for four years as CEO of AmCham Germany (American Chamber of Commerce in Germany), with a particular focus on TTIP promotion (Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership).
Before that, he held senior leadership positions for more than 33 years in international banking at J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, HypoVereinsbank and Xchanging Transaction Bank in Frankfurt, New York, London and Munich.
His international experience across banking, transatlantic business and executive leadership provides valuable strategic perspective on economic developments, leadership communication and international market dynamics.
Mr. Povel is an honorary member of the Union International Club, a member of Atlantik-Brücke and the Frankfurter Gesellschaft, as well as a founding member of NFTE – Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and the Eller & Louis Jazz Club Rhein-Main.
